Ashley has been a consistently excellent teacher; I have been taking West Coast Swing lessons with her for four months now. She has an incredibly well-thought-out curriculum that builds on itself effectively as our lessons continue, and her explanations are very detailed. Her demeanor is pleasant and professional, and she is consistently communicative about scheduling. 10/10 experience!

6 years ago, I decided to try ballroom dancing for the first time, and I was very lucky to find Ashley! It's not an understatement to say Ashley changed my life through the power of dancing and it has become one of my passions in life. Since then I've learned Salsa, Bachata, Hustle, Rumba, Tango and may more dance forms. We even performed a Bachata showcase together in front of 200+ people, which is something I never imagined doing in my wildest dreams! I am forever grateful for Ashley's teachings and I will continue to work with her in all my dancing goals!

I've only been dancing West Coast Swing for 3 weeks, and I will admit to feeling anxious and self-conscious about working with a different teacher than the one I have been working with. I wasn't looking fo replace my teacher, who I love, but I wanted to broaden my experience and practice with another pro. Ashley is not only a great teacher, but she put me at ease immediately! She's a real professional. To my astonishment she followed my inexperienced lead and knew exactly what I was trying to do. Never did she try to override anything I've been taught so far...on the contrary, her teaching style was completely complementary to the way I've been learning. She made me a better dancer in our first lesson. It was a real joy to work with her.

Ashley is simply a wonderful instructor plain and simple.

Ashley is a phenomenal teacher. Her ability to break down movements, technique, and style in ways that different individuals can understand, relate, and apply is incredible. She listens and adjusts her methods according to my unique injuries and limitations and still enables me to feel encouraged by showing me the progress I've already made and by assigning "homework" that will continue to grow me and strengthen me as a dancer. Go dance with Ashley, everyone!

Well, today was my 6th lesson with Ashley. As mentioned in a previous review, I'm taking lessons so I kind of know what I'm doing for my daughter's wedding next month. Today, everything started to click. Now, my comfort level went from not thinking I could pull it off, to looking forward to the day.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without lessons. Ashley is a gifted instructor.

My wife always wanted us to take dance lessons so eventually I caved and bought some for her as a birthday gift. I thought it would be a quick couple of hours, something to do for a month or two and then that box would be ticked. But to my surprise I didn’t want to stop! We loved our lessons with Ashley and looked forward to them every week. It wasn’t just the dancing, which we did really enjoy. It was also how those weekly lessons brought us closer together and added a whole new dimension to our relationship that we didn’t even know we needed. Those dance lessons helped us increase our patience for one another’s foibles, accept each other's lack of talent (specifically MY lack of talent), and we learned how to truly collaborate to minimize one another’s faults. We ended up with so much more than a new found love of dance, Ashley helped us find a renewed appreciation for each other as well.

Today was my 5th dance lesson. When I first started taking dance lessons with Ashley it was for the sole purpose of not looking foolish for my daughter's upcoming wedding. After today's lesson everything, everything Ashley had taught me became more automatic and less forced.

Today was my 4th lesson with Ashley in preparation for daughters wedding. Not being a dancer or having danced for decades, Ashley has taught me enough in a few lessons to where I now have the confidence in knowing that I’ll be able to do the father/daughter dance with ease.

I’m not done with my lessons yet. I’ve got one more lesson scheduled for next week and then after a short break, I’m going to need a dance tune up before the big event.

The last time I danced was at my wedding, 38 years ago. My daughter is getting married in a few months. One of my obligations besides helping to pay for the wedding is performing the father/daughter dance.

So not to look like I have two left feet and zero dance skills I decided to take lessons from a professional dance instructor. After researching dance instructors, and reading reviews I settled on Ashley. After 2 lessons with Ashley, my confidence level in being able to dance went from not being able to pull it off, to now feeling very confident, and we're not done yet.
